Visitation
Visitors can play an important role in the recovery process. Your guests are welcome during visiting hours. However, rest also has an important role in the recovery process. Please limit visitors to no more than two people at a time in your room. Visits should last no longer than ten minutes and your guests will be asked to wait outside the room during an examination or treatment. Children must be at least 12 years of age in order to visit. Please do not leave children unattended while at the hospital.
Visiting Hours
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Visitation every two hours for 15 minutes at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. and are limited to immediate family or significant other.
The Center for Rehabilitation - Visitation during the hours of 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. weekdays; 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sundays.
All Others Areas - Visitation hours of 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Overnight Visitors
Parents are encouraged to stay overnight with pediatric patients. In special circumstances, patients in private rooms may have guests overnight with permission of the charge nurse.
Smoking Policy
Maria Parham Medical Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not allowed inside any of the facilities owned or operated by Maria Parham Medical Center. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas located outside of the facility. Designated smoking areas include:
