Education in Motion is our motto at Maria Parham Medical Center. Our Staff and Community is supported by a wide range of Education and Health Programs. Nurse Educators keep our staff on the cutting edge of nursing practice today. Patient Educators teach our hospitialized patients about a variety of topics including:diabetes;ostomy care;Nutrition and breast feeding. We are proud of our Nurse Translators, able to teach our Spanish speaking patients in their primary language.
Maria Parham Medical Center offers several Community Health Programs as well. Our Cardio pulmonary Rehabilitation Program assisits people who have had a heart attack or who have lung disease to increase their level of function. Our Diabetes Education Program which is certified by the American Diabetes Association helps people with diabetes live healthy, productive lives and includes the most up to date content including insulin pump instruction by our Certified Pump Instructors.
