MPMC Welcomes New Radiation Oncologist
Maria Parham Medical Center is pleased to announce that Casey Tudor Chollet, MD has joined The Oncology Center at Maria Parham. She began in August and will serve as the full-time Radiation Oncologist in the Radiation Oncology Unit. She is also on staff at Duke University Medical Center.
The Oncology Center at Maria Parham partners with experts from Duke Medicine to provide the best possible care for cancer patients. They offer a range of services that blend state-of-the-art technology for diagnosis and treatment with compassionate and knowledgeable care. One of the biggest advantages of the Maria Parham/Duke partnership is the ability to provide world-class research, technology and care to our patients in our community. Medical oncology and radiation oncology are both offered, along with related services, such as counseling and nutrition. Dr. Chollet sees patients on the Radiation Oncology side of the department.
Dr. Chollet is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate studies at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, graduating Magna Cum Laude with majors in both English Literature and Molecular Biology. She then attended the prestigious Oxford University, Imperial College of Medicine, in London, England where she completed a Graduate Internship in Molecular Biology. She received her Medical Degree from The University of Tennessee, College of Medicine, where she graduated with Highest Honors and ranked third in a class of 146. She also attended the University of Tennessee for her Internship in Internal Medicine. Dr. Chollet then went on to complete her Residency in Radiation Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Chollet is very excited about joining The Oncology Center at Maria Parham. She states, “I appreciate the warm welcome I have been given, and I look forward to being part of this excellent oncology team.”
