Enhancements in The Oncology Center at Maria Parham focus of upcoming Lunch & Learn

Maria Parham Medical Center and the Oncology Center will be hosting a Lunch & Learn program on “The Oncology Center at Maria Parham:  New Trends in Patient-Focused Care” on Friday, June 24.   A complimentary lunch will begin at 11:30 AM in the hospital Classroom, and the presentation by Terry Adcock, Oncology Patient Navigator for Maria Parham, will begin at Noon in the Auditorium.

The focus of Adcock’s presentation will center around the newest developments in the Oncology Center—their recent expansion on the Medical side, the newly re-opened Cancer Resource Center and the creation of her role here at Maria Parham.  Patient Navigators are becoming increasingly popular in the medical field.  They do just what their name implies—help patients ‘navigate’ the often confusing and frightening time after being diagnosed with a serious illness.  Anyone with an interest in learning more about these new developments at Maria Parham is encouraged to attend.
